Camera
With more of us capturing video and pictures on our mobile device, one of our favorite features of the new iPhone 13 Pro is the camera. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max includes iPhone's biggest camera update ever, and you can tell!
Overview of features:
All of the iPhones in this series have cinematic mode, improvements to shooting in low light, and different photographic styles, but where the iPhone 13 Pro excels is that it also features macro photography and a 3x optical zoom. Also, the Super Retina XDR display makes the screen and video and photo playback look incredible!
Our favorite camera features:
Cinematic mode for video is an awesome improvement, and allows for an incredible depth of field as you are shooting video.
Photographic styles for shooting pictures is a nice feature to have when you want to adjust things quickly. It's like filters, but we think they work better than your standard filters that are available. We noticed that we could control the richness, hues and skin tones better.
Everyone knows it can be tricky to capture content when it's dark out (remember when everyone tries to takes pictures of fireworks during 4th of July?!), but we were really impressed with the improvements of shooting in low light. We thought the improvements on the iPhone 12 series were pretty fantastic, and the iPhone 13 it takes it up a notch.
Takeaway: The camera is a fantastic improvement. If you are into shooting videos and having more options while capturing photos, we think you'll be excited at how well it performs.
Battery Life
It can be frustrating using your phone throughout the day for directions, videos, texting and normal daily usage to then have your phone run out of battery before the end of the day. iPhone touts that the 13 series has the best battery life of any of the iPhones (I mean, they're not going to lessen the battery life, right?), and even says that the iPhone 13 Pro Max specifically has the longest battery life ever on an iPhone.
Overview of features:
In our testing of the iPhone 13 Pro, we definitely saw a boost in battery life. In moderate, normal usage, we saw our iPhone 13 Pro have a battery life of about 10 hours.
Takeaway: The battery life on the iPhone 13 Pro has improved and gave us about 1-2 more hours of juice a day.
Aesthetics

Overview of features:
Apple offers 5 different colors for iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini (pink, blue, midnight/black, starlight/white, and red), and 4 different colors for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max (sierra blue, silver, gold and graphite).
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max feature a Super Retina XDR display that makes the display look amazing, especially when capturing or editing video and photos. Scrolling is satisfying and fluid.
Takeaway: While not the most important features in our book, the color options and the Super Retina XDR display are something that doesn't hurt!
